ALL WRITING IN HERE IS THE PROPERTY OF JOHN SCOTT RIDGWAY, AND YOU CAN GET MY PERMISSION TO PERFORM AND REPRINT WITH AN EMAIL. Steal from me and you will be cursed in such a way that your hands turn into worthless, jelly fish like appendages that sting your intimates.

you idiots, you have political correctness all wrong.
arlene peck... you may not know this name, and that is probably to your benefit. I had the unhappiness of finding her site today on the web and read more hatred in a few sentences than I manage to eck out in a week. I envy her undeniable rage and all that... problem is, I am kidding and she is not.
Her back story goes something like this... she married and arab man or something and was made into a sexual slave/silent housemaid and now thinks the entire arab culture has to be done away with.
All this aside, she sets me off the most by declaring that she is not politically correct. Ever since Bill Moyers used this term incorrectly on his show, people have been using it incorrectly everywhere... To be politically correct requires to speak the truth, in ways that do not involve prejudice, but reason. The political correctness that most people criticize are simply judeo christian values, ways to get along with our neighbors, etc... showing respect where respect is due....
The philosophy of political correctness comes out of the research showing how powerful certain words are. In fact, we all have a few words in our heads that are evil... nigger is a word that comes to mind here in Chicago, where the rascists who use this word outnumber anyplace I've had the pleasure to dwell in this vast land of sauntering sinners and sick, sick sickos and people just trying to make it through the day with a little interest.
.
This is why the conspiracy theorists have so much fodder in this world

lost in the deep depths of my naval.
Cold gray day in the city. A gray cat sits on my lap. Ruby dog is beside me on the floor, laying with her face next to a pile of chewed up stick, which she has slowly been destroying since her morning walk. While Mary Ann is gone from the apartment, so the rules are basically out the window. The animals bank on this. They know I will feed them whatever I am eating, let them out on the M. banned balcony (who are we to keep animals from laying in the sun on the balcony's? Our landlords ban this but none of our neighbors seem to care).
I am trying to write myself into some kind of conclusion about where to focus my energies. I am trying to get this new book off the ground and the words just don't excite me much. I feel like I am still laying out the story, and that I am unhappy with the results. I spend way more time worrying about this shit than I should... a buddy told me yesterday, "You're a writer, it doesn't matter what you write, " as we spoke about blogs with a pioneer in the field and a kid who just heard of them when he came to the big city a couple months ago. I argued with him, saying that novels at present are the best way that I can see of making a living at writing... not that I know whether I am right of not? Now that I am going to be sending all my readers to this site, rather than the old one, I think I will qualify for advertising if I can get enough people interested in staring into my cranium.
